RESEARCH INTERESTS AND EXPERIENCE

• Neonatology: neonatal sepsis, TORCH-infection in newborns, peculiarities of nutrition newborns of different gestational age, neonatal and parental stress in newborns of different gestational ages receiving treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU),  neonatal pain in preterm infants undergoing treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit; neurodevelopmental and physical development outcomes in preterm children at a corrected age of 1 to 5 years, with follow-up evaluations every 6 months and subsequent identification of factors associated with developmental impairments;Investigation of the peculiarities of caring for preterm infants using elements of family-centered care;

• Pediatrics: cardiometabolic disorders and vitamin D status in overweight and obese adolescents;  vaccination status of school-aged children with COVID-19 and non-COVID infectious diseases, and assessment of the relationships between humoral immunity to tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis toxins, stress levels (salivary cortisol concentration), vitamin D status, and the clinical features of COVID-19 and non-COVID infections in children; cytokine levels, micronutrients (vitamins A, D, B₆, B₉, and B₁₂), and homocysteine concentrations in children with COVID-19 to assess disease severity and predict clinical outcomes; clinical and pathogenetic mechanisms of post-COVID syndrome in children, including phenotypes of acute SARS-CoV-2 infection, multisystem inflammatory syndrome, and immune-inflammatory, endothelial, endocrine, and psychosocial dysregulation.
